Well, it seems as if I haven’t been doing anything for me lately! I finally finished my own scarf that I started so many months ago.

The yarns are
Moda Dea Wild, russett
Moda Dea Aerie, coral
Bernat Boa, phoenix
I’ve decided to name my scarves…the one for my sister shown here in this post from June 2005 is now known as possibilities. Her friend, Lauren, has given me permission to post her photo:

I hit a tough spot last night which landed me in the middle of my floor, surrounded by yarn and hooks and pattern books and my laptop open to Crochet Pattern Central.
See, I really want to make a stole or a shawl for upcoming holiday parties, but…the yarn and patterns aren’t cooperating. What happens is that I decide on a pattern, run around to the LYS, and I can’t find any yarn that I’m happy with. Buy yarn that I love anyway and figure I can find another pattern to go with it. Get home and can’t decide on good pattern. Feel like I need to take yarn back. Don’t want to take yarn back. Look around to my 5 or 6 UFOs and cringe about increasing the stash. Keep yarn anyway and try not to feel guilty about it.
